This is the "curse the darkness" thing. For a more positive take, see my page on The Good Guys of privacy policies. That page also has my abstracted list of what makes a policy "good". Here I list sites whose policies, I feel, violate -- or, more commonly, don't go far enough to safeguard -- the privacy of people who visit them. This is of course my personal evaluation, and is based only on the policies. Being listed here says nothing about a site's products, views, etc... although, in general, I will not patronize a site that has a poor policy. |
