Additional Notes and Information:

This card refers to the upcoming technological singularity: the moment when innovation proceeds so quickly that there is a "rip" in the fabric of human history. Will there really be a singularity? Maybe not... but one of the sure signs when it happens, if it happens, would be the emergence of machine intelligence. It seems likely enough to me that our successor species will have motivations sufficiently alien as to appear random -- hence the die roll.

Astute players would notice that this is the only card that does not have an icon (excepting cards for which none has been made yet). Partly that's because the concept is daunting. I mean, how exactly would you represent the ascension of an artificial intelligence to a transcendental plane of being? But mostly, it turned out that, after putting in the table, I didn't have any space left. :)
