"Dig Down Deep" Marc Cohn Marc went somewhere unexpected during the forever-fadeout of this song. Previously, he's melded it with Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl". Here -- perhaps due to the Philadelphia locale -- he blurred it into the opening lines of "Already Home" from Burning the Daze. Crowd reaction, as might be expected, was loudest at "From the Spanish Stairs to the Liberty Bell...."
"Silver Thunderbird" Marc Cohn
"Valley of the Kings" Burning the Daze The only song from the third album, this one caught me by surprise. In all honesty it's not a song that entirely hangs together. But it can be a really fun song to hear live. Marc and company really jammed on it, and the audience got into the act. Plus the percussion bit is awesome live -- it's a song to be played loud.
