Song From Album comments
"Saving the Best for Last" Marc Cohn Good rendition of a song with local connections.
"Perfect Love" Marc Cohn
"Don't Talk to Her at Night" The Rainy Season
"Paper Walls" The Rainy Season
"She's Made of Yesterdays" forthcoming
"29 Ways" Marc Cohn Marc walked off the stage and yielded the floor to Shane Fontayne for over two and a half minutes, in yet another incredible guitar solo
"The Rainy Season" The Rainy Season Toward the end, Marc riffed into a little of the Beatle's "Day Tripper" ("Got a good reason / Got a good reason for taking the easy way out")
"You're a Shadow" forthcoming
"Walking in Memphis" Marc Cohn Someone called out a request for "Thunder Road" :) which lead to a confession by Marc that "all the songs" on Marc Cohn derived from the first sixteen bars of "Thunder Road". He even played a stanza.
"Walk Through the World" The Rainy Season "Another walking song...."
"Dig Down Deep" Marc Cohn "This one comes from my first album which some people -- including me -- have called my 'Greatest Hits' album. And I like it like that; now I can just experiment." (paraphrased) Surprisingly no spontaneous Van Morrison in the middle, unlike previous concerts.

"Silver Thunderbird" Marc Cohn
"Let Me Be Your Witness" forthcoming

"One Safe Place" forthcoming Marc related a tale about a person he'd met the night before in Harrisburg, who will be shipping out to Iraq in a couple of days. This lead to an audience member shouting "Your music is what got me through Iraq", which visibly moved Marc. He then dedicated the song to the Harrisburg person and the New York person, and said, "No matter the politics, it's clear you are the heroes here."

Another fine show, lasting well over 90 minutes for Marc (plus two hours for the other performers). Some of the songs seemed a little off, but that probably derived from my unfortunate position near the towering speakers. :)

As an added bonus, they were selling the Live EP disc, which is six songs recorded in concert and capturing the specialness of a Marc Cohn performance.

A keen observer would notice that exactly none of these songs were from the third album, Burning the Daze, continuing a pattern of neglect of that album in Marc's playlists. He actually began to coment on and maybe even explain that pattern but was interrupted by fan requests (including the hilarious but distracting "Thunder Road" riff). He never finished his thoughts as to why this album never seems to make it into his concerts.
