Dear Gentle Reader:

The point of a soapbox is to rant, so rant I will. :) My current hobby horse is the DMCA (the Digital Millenium Copyright Act), the worst law of the past decade. Although many of my friends think I'm crazy to be worried about something so arcane, I think the DMCA is a troubling harbinger that threatens to overturn, undermine, and eventually eliminate the principles of fairness, decency, and justice that we Americans have traditionally held dear. Just because it's obscure doesn't mean it's irrelevant.

Rather than repeat my rants, I'll wrap this soapbox by pointing you to the many other places I've inveigled against the DMCA. Take a moment to review the situation. If you think I'm a crackpot, fine. But at least think about it.
