Card
Text

Sharp-eyed senators attempt to eliminate government waste.

From now on, on your turn, before drawing new cards, you may discard up to three from your unplayed hand.

However, you must roll less than (20% x number of cards) on d100. Elsewise, the committee will deadlock and cause you to lose that turn (before drawing).

This ability may be attacked like Atomic Cannon.

Additional Notes and Information:

It's common to bash the legislative branch of government, with good reason (it's easy). But in fact those erstwhile servants of the people do, from time to time, show that why democracy is the worst form of government, excluding all others. We don't give them enough credit, and this card is an attempt to rectify that a little.

On the other hand, this is Congress we're talking about, and we know they'll go awry on occasion. Hence the deadlock possibility.

This icon introduces the flag of Fleebonia, my fiducial NukeWar country (where all the citizens are blue stick figures). The chairperson of the committee is holding a gavel, even though it looks more like a mic. And we see the general in a green beret, fresh from May Day. (And yes, I recognize the absurdity of a Soviet May Day parade happening in the same country as congressional oversight.)
